Thrifting the Chassis

Here is the chassis of a Philco 46-350. Stripping the old components will reduce the weight, and make way for some new hardware.

The Proposal

Someone really ought to take old tube radios and put new guts in them, so that they can continue to be useful, and beautiful, warm and friendly here at the turn of the 21st century. I'm going to try this, and I'll write some notes about it here.
